I hired Solvency Now, after speaking with Maya Weinreb, to handle the bookkeeping for my law firm. I was quoted a certain price after a detailed meeting discussing the needs for my business. Many weeks later, after paying the deposit, entering into an agreement, and being assigned a bookkeeper, I was informed that they underestimated the work to be done by over 50%, driving my initial catch up work to approximately $3,500 to $4,500, rather than the $2,000 expectation.

After some discussions about the severity of the discrepancy, and reaching an agreement for a slightly discounted rate for additional required work hours, I indicated that while I was still unhappy, I would accept the concession and asked them to begin work. Instead of beginning work, Maya indicated she no longer felt comfortable moving forward with the engagement and made the decision to disengage, thus unilaterally cancelling our contract and sending my deposit back.

After requesting her to reconsider, especially considering the severe set back her cancellation of our agreement has caused, I have not received any response. I cannot recommend utilizing this business as they severely underestimated the cost of services and unlawfully cancelled our contract. Maya got on a Zoom call with me - listened to me, understood the problem and then helped me solve it She was helping me as she and i were going through the problem. By the end we realized the problem had been solved and she wasn't going to charge me, but I insisted ! She is knowledgeable, flexible and patient! I highly recommend her company. Originally, I was doing my Bookkeeping myself, until i just became too busy and it was too much for me to be able to keep up. I spoke to Maya and they immediately got started and everything was smooth. Their transition and directions to be able to take over was really easy and made it a smooth transition overall.  If I run into something or dont understand something, they handle or answer it immediately, Maya's whole team has been absolutely helpful! I have been working with the team now for over a year and they are great! They have been reliable, trustworthy and competent!
